Now, have I gone too far?
The war on men that I’m talking about isn’t a war on men, per-se at all, but a war on masculine values.
Take competition, as an example.
Men love to compete. We’re bred to compete. We even get a surge of testosterone when we compete. As young men, however, we’re being told that competition is wrong, that being strong is wrong, that being the best isn’t what’s important, but that participation is all that matters.
When we enter the real world we of course figure out that this pussification is absolute nonsense. We do need to be at least OUR BEST because that’s how we succeed in life.
Furthermore, accomplishment is a part of living a good life, one filled with happiness and meaning and purpose. We need to compete, to overcome obstacles, if we’re going to feel fulfilled.
We need to compete and to win to produce optimal testosterone levels as well.
